The largest public rock garden on the West coast is a beautiful
place to view flowers of the mountains. See uncommon trees, primulas,
rhododendrons and more.

are partners with agencies and organizations, local and world-wide,
in all aspects of plant conservation, including field studies, seed
storage and, when appropriate, the re-introduction of plants nearing
extinction.

Jane Kerr Platt Garden Tour
Join us for this popular event, visiting the internationally acclaimed garden that John Platt and his wife,
the late Jane Kerr Platt, built.

The five-acre landscape is chock full of whimsical and sophisticated artistic flourishes. You'll have a delightful time exploring its nooks and crannies while enjoying wine and refreshments. A perfect Father’s Day gift!

New Rock Garden Sprinkler System The BBG is replacing the Alpine Rock Garden's antiquated sprinklers with an updated system allowing selective watering of individual beds as well as computer controlled watering schedules. This will save water and free up labor for other tasks.
